Asked Questions

What
is the Fair Park Educators' Conference?
The Fair Park Educators' Conference is a professional
development program for public and private school
teachers in North Texas. It began in 2001 as an Open
House in four museums and has since expanded to nine
museums across the entire park. It features programs
in a variety of educational areas, including art,
science and social studies.

Who
can attend the Educators' Conference?
Any teacher with an identification badge from a public
school, private school or homeschool association can
attend. Due to the working nature of our curriculum
and programs, we ask that you not bring spouses or children
with you to the Conference. Spouses and children who
would like to visit Fair Park museums will be expected
to pay for their museum(s) admission, and will not be
able to attend the lunch. |
What
can I expect from the Educators' Conference?
The Educators' Conference is designed to introduce teachers
to the educational opportunities at Fair Park. Offered
to teachers are interesting programs, thought-provoking
exhibits, fun, and useful classroom materials to take
back to your school. You can spend the entire afternoon at
Fair Park, leave with loads of ideas for field trip and outreach tie-ins that coincide with your curriculum, and even come up with a few new curriculum ideas
of your own! The event requires walking between several
museums, some of which are a significant distance apart.
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. |
Fair
Park is a big place. How will I know where to go?
For your convenience, there will be maps at each participating museum that will help you find where you need to go! Just show up to any of our participating museums, register, and pick this map up.
